بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِِ
سب تعریفیں اللہ ہی کے لئے ہیں جو تمام جہانوں کی پرورش فرمانے والا ہے
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Ever-Merciful
١- وَالْعَصْرِ
زمانہ کی قَسم (جس کی گردش انسانی حالات پر گواہ ہے)
1. By Time!
٢- إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ
بیشک انسان خسارے میں ہے (کہ وہ عمرِ عزیز گنوا رہا ہے)
2. Indeed, humans are in (great) loss (for he is losing the most valuable commodity of his life),
٣- إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ
سوائے ان لوگوں کے جو ایمان لے آئے اور نیک عمل کرتے رہے اور (معاشرے میں) ایک دوسرے کو حق کی تلقین کرتے رہے اور (تبلیغِ حق کے نتیجے میں پیش آمدہ مصائب و آلام میں) باہم صبر کی تاکید کرتے رہے
3. except those who believe, perform righteous deeds, urge one another to truth and urge one another to patience.
